II have made it a habit to regularly send messages of encouragement and inspiration to my five children. Texting my child during the day only takes a few seconds but can have such a positive impact. And for the last few years I have shared with you 10 texts to send to your college students in the next 10 days and 10 texts to send to your children or grandchildren in the next 10 days.

Today I thought I would share with you 10 messages to send to your teenage son or daughter in the next 10 days. Send a text message today! Here are a few ideas:

  1. It is a great honor to be your mom/dad.
  2. It was a lot of fun to watch you ______________ (lecture, exercise, game) today!
  3. I was just thinking about your great gifts today. You are _________ (so creative/so good with people/so good at helping others who are going through a tough time).
  4. I hope you know that I'm always there for you.
  5. The way you stand up for what is right is such an inspiration to me.
  6. I apologize for what I said to you the other day. I was wrong. would you please forgive me
  7. I know things didn't go the way you expected today. But you did your best. Keep it up!
  8. I looked at some pictures of you on my phone today. It made me think how blessed I am to be your mom/dad.
  9. I'm proud of you...always!
  10. Do you want to go out for ice cream together tonight?
