1930’s Art Shop in Spain Transformed into a Fabulous Modern Office
There are times when you need to cover the existing walls of your home with new finishes for a more polished interior. Then there are occasions when you strip away the excess and unnecessary finishes that have been added to a room over the years to reveal its beautiful "bones". Completely remodeled and renovated to transform an old art shop originally built in the 1930's into a modern office that TEN Studio designed by NAM Arquitectura in Tarragona, Spain falls into the latter category with its striking modern industrial interior combined with smart organization.

The central idea behind the renovation was simple, as the architects removed additional layers of plaster and cement that had been added over the past century or so to reveal the exquisite brick walls, stone sections and cast steel columns. This essence brings the building's past to life and connects it to the present in a fluid and effortless way. A new mezzanine has been added to make the most of the double-height interior space, while four large wooden tables make up the workspace on the lower level.

Bespoke wood cabinetry and decor provide the shelving, storage and kitchen units in this office, while the exposed brick walls add to the textural charm. White, wood and brick along with curated red accents complete this immaculate office that stands out from the crowd! [From: José Hevia]
