20 Tips for Creating a Family-Centered Life

HHave you ever thought about what your life is about? is it work Is it your dream car? It's vacation? A father's free time is extremely limited. Efficient use of your free time can make or break your family. Here are 20 tips on how to live a more family-centric life.
1. Mom and Dad have a consistent alone date night together at least once a month.
2. Dad has scheduled one-on-one sessions with each of his kids at least once a month.
3. The whole family gets together for dinner at least three times a week.
4. Dad texts, emails, or calls each of his kids at least once a day.
5. A monthly home video night for the family.
6. A monthly family board game night.
7. Saturday work is done with the help of the children.
8. At least once every three months, Dad brings his kids lunch to school.
9. Dad prays with each of his children every night before they go to bed.
10. Weekly church attendance.
11. Three television shows per week are watched by the whole family (with the commercials muted).
12. Dad's job doesn't let him work late nights or weekends.
13. The whole family has at least one week of vacation time together each year.
14. Mom and Dad attend at least one marriage strengthening conference a year.
15. The family tries to go camping at least once a year.
16. Dad attends or coordinates a dad/daughter dance.
17. Dad knows all of his children's teachers personally and is involved in PTA or attends the All Pro Dad's Day school chapter.
18. Dad's time with his buddies mostly includes everyone's kids.
19. More family activities are planned outdoors than indoors.
20. Dad honors his own parents.
