Let's talk math

Math conversations used to be considered an oxymoron. I think people thought that if you're doing a sum, you should probably shut up so your brain can work.

But guess what? Math talks help your brain.

If you talk about your mathematical thinking, you can solve the problem more effectively. What's even more exciting is that mathematical discourse on a problem can help you maintain and generalize your solution process so that you can solve other problems more effectively as well.

Question stems make it easier to encourage conversation about math in the classroom.
