Viewed from behind, the house seems to blend into the lush green landscape around it. Aside from the tall trees surrounding the house, a wonderful 'living roof' with 'stonecrop and dwarf plants' makes the house disappear into the landscape. The green roof also helps keep indoor temperatures moderate across the seasons, while the smart array of windows and doors let in heat and light during the hotter months. A small wooden deck, intelligent interior organization and features such as cold-resistant mineral wool complete the adaptable and energy-efficient Hill House.
