  1. 8″ x 10″ Photo Frames – We chose 3 frames of this size.
  2. 5″ x 7″ Photo Frames – We used 8 frames of this size.
  3. Photos or artwork that fit the frames you choose.
  4. 1 roll of construction paper
  5. scissors
  6. Clear scotch tape
  7. painter or masking tape
  8. tape measure
  9. step
  10. hanging hardware
    • We used nails, but you can choose a picture hanging product like Command Bars if you don't want to leave holes or marks on your wall.
  11. pencil or colored pencil

Step 1:

First, choose which wall you want to arrange your gallery on. When choosing your wall, large spaces like a staircase, a hallway, or a wall above a couch work well.

Step 2:

Choose the color and image theme you want for your wall. It's important to have a theme so you can create the best ad. If you don't think about a color scheme or theme beforehand, your wall can end up looking unbalanced.

Step 3:

The next step is to create your wall template. Using a stencil will ensure your images line up and won't damage your walls. It also gives you the ability to rearrange your photos and decide which layout works best for your photos.

Step 4:

Take the roll of construction paper and place your picture frame on it. Trace the edges of the frame and then cut it out. Repeat for each frame you will be hanging.

Step 5:

Align each template to the back of the frames. Mark where the hanging pieces will be for each frame. This ensures accuracy when hanging the pictures.

PRO TIP: Label each template with a short description so you know what image it represents.

Step 6:

Now it's time for you to stick the stencils on your chosen wall.

Step 7:

Once you've glued all the templates in place, it's time to get your hammer and nails. Nail in your hardware using the marks you made on the construction paper templates.

PRO TIP: To give your photos extra grip, hammer your nail at a downward angle.

Step 8:

The last step is to hang all your photos in the designated spots. To ensure your photos are lined up just right, we recommend using a bubble level.
