Recyclable Materials Shape a Modern Office Inside Industrial Building in Barcelona
Clean drinking water is one of the most basic of all human needs. Achieving this with a sustainable and eco-friendly process is the perfect way forward; an idea adopted and put into practice by Aqua KMZERO in Barcelona. Today we are focusing on the refurbishment and redesign of this sustainable water brand's office, as the new interior design combines modern touches with an industrial background and eco-friendly architecture. Perfectly planned and executed by Estudio COA, the new office space beautifully combines contrasting elements without ever straying from their central theme of sustainability.

A wood and white makeover is what you get here when two custom boxes are inserted into the office's large outer shell. The building's original brick, wood and other finishes have been uncovered and preserved, while quirky new details like the beautiful green ceiling add brightness to the space. The two large boxes serve a specific purpose, with one containing the management office and the other being used for staff meetings. This ensures a clear delimitation of space, while the work areas are much more open and reserved.

Using recyclable materials, this office was built in the district of Poblenou, Barcelona feels very different from everyone else in terms of both aesthetics and ergonomics. Glass walls, LED tube lighting and houseplants complete the captivating office transformation!

With the intention that the atmosphere of their offices should become part of their own identity, the aim was to represent their values in the interior design project. On the one hand we tried to work with recyclable materials (ecology), on the other hand we took advantage of all the elements of the original industrial architecture...
