Stunning Alteration of Executive Suite in Manhattan into an Awesome Workplace!

The bright lights and iconic skyscrapers of Manhattan are all too easily recognizable to anyone who knows and loves New York City. And many of these tall buildings contain homes, apartments, and offices that are anything but ordinary. Beautiful, unique and extraordinary, the Hill Office designed by Andrew Franz Architect is one such space where everything seems to come together in a picture perfect way. This stunningly beautiful modern office was the former executive suite of a publisher in a 1913 Beaux-Arts building in the region and has now been transformed into a bustling workspace where old and new meet seamlessly.

The suite's curved windows; a feature you simply cannot overlook has been meticulously preserved, much like the many arches and intricate design features found within the unit. Not only do these take you back to the building's roots, but they also bring in ample natural light, even as custom wood louvers added to the office regulate the sunlight. Unnecessary partitions in the office have been eliminated to create a large, open workspace, while the floating bridge mezzanine has been expanded to create additional square footage.

A new stadium-style seating arrangement serves as a stairway to the new mezzanine level, while elegant meeting rooms and private areas that act as "creation centers" complete the makeover that feels both sophisticated and timeless. The view and the plentiful daylight are celebrated and democratized; Peripheral areas are activated for communal use, corner offices are eliminated and workstations are gathered in the center of the space. Glazed meeting rooms lined with carved wood slats along the perimeter scatter strong southern sunlight while retaining views. Noble, textured materials, an eclectic mix of old and new furniture, and extensive planting were chosen to give the workspaces a sense of human personality.
