The new interior is largely made of wood and concrete, with both elements efficiently combing in the living area, dining area and bathroom. A frosted glass block wall separates the small public area at the front from the private bedroom, which flows effortlessly into the spacious wooden deck and natural pool just outside. The traditional boundaries between inside and outside blur in a fluent way and there is a certain serenity and nonchalance throughout the lodge.

The renovation was carried out on a tight budget, further encouraging the architects to make extensive use of locally sourced materials, while the open ambiance and low-maintenance decor of concrete and wood make it even more cost-effective and energy-efficient over the long term.
